Admissions & Evaluations

  • At Cyzner Institute, we embrace a rolling admissions policy, allowing us to welcome new students at any point during the academic year. It's important to note that some students may initially engage in our 1:1 services before transitioning into more of a classroom setting. For further details on our admissions procedure, or to arrange an initial consultation or site visit, please contact us.

At Cyzner Institute, we evaluate all applicants based on their individual needs. We are committed to a policy of non-discrimination, irrespective of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or disability. Recognizing the diverse nature of neurological disorders such as autism, we prioritize the needs of the child and their family during the admissions process, without consideration of demographic factors.

Our admissions procedure is as follows:

Initial Contact: After your initial inquiry, we will send you an Admissions Packet via email. You'll then have the opportunity to meet virtually with our Director and/or Clinical Director (BCBA). Once the virtual conference has been conducted, you may decide to tour our facility. If you have any relevant medical or educational evaluations, please email or scan them ahead of your virtual meeting for our administrative team's review. For those interested in our weekday program, we'll arrange for a visit for your child as part of the observation process before evaluation and placement testing.

Application and Evaluation: Upon confirmation of suitability for our program, the assessment evaluation process begins. Our team will review any previous evaluations your child has undergone. Depending on factors such as age and grade, a combination of standardized and non-standardized measures will be used. It's important to note that this evaluation is not diagnostic. Please be aware that the process may vary depending on payment methods, particularly with insurance involvement. The timing of the entire process is contingent upon the insurance company.

Once enrolled, we develop a customized instructional program tailored to your child's needs. If additional assessments such as occupational therapy or speech and language evaluations are deemed necessary by our Administrative Team, we will discuss these options with you.

Our Director, Clinical Director, and other relevant staff will review any previous evaluations and work with your child one-on-one to observe specific skill development. Various assessment tools will be used based on your child's age, grade, and individual needs. Once enrolled, a customized instructional program will be developed for your child.

If you have any further questions or would like to initiate the admissions process, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to supporting your child's educational journey at Cyzner Institute.
